SIP Trunking / Digital Cross Connect vs Hosted PBX

SIP Trunking is used when the customer's phone system is capable of taking direct SIP connections.

  • Advantage: Savings over legacy phone service, ability to provision remote market phone numbers.

Digital Cross Connect is a simple way to say "Plug in a SIP to analog or PRI/T1 gateway device and connect to the customer phone system as though it was legacy phone service.

  • Advantage: Savings over legacy phone service, ability to provision remote market phone numbers.

Hosted PBX is where IP phones at the customer's location(s) are connected to a PBX residing in our data center.

  • Advantage: Ability to have phones at multiple offices and remote/home offices as extensions on one phone system. Savings over legacy phone service, high end features without high up front cost.

The Proposition is Simple

SIP Trunking allows customers to obtain cost savings, increased calling capacity, and feature benefits.

    • Existing telephone and toll-free numbers can be retained
    • Single consolidated monthly billing statement for customers with multiple sites

Is VoIP Being Widely Adopted?

  • According to the latest study by AMI Partners Inc., North American small to-medium businesses’ hosted VoIP market spending will cross $1.56 billion by 2010.

  • In-Statpredicts that two-thirds of US businesses will have some form of VoIP service by 2011.

  • Market projected to exceed $8B by 2013 and growing at a CAGR of over 27% (According to Frost and Sullivan)

  • In the first half of 2009, VOIP services brought in nearly $21 billion in revenue, with both residential and business services looking healthy and poised for even more growth for the second half of the year, according to a report by market research firm Infonetics Research.
