President and Chief Operating Officer
Under his direction as Chief Operating Officer of a publically held telecommunications company: a 27 year-old national communications company and six other organizations were acquired and successfully integrated into the company; the company became one of the first to deploy a national IP/ATM network, with 16 switches fully operational in seven months; revenues increased from $16.0 million in 1997 to $61.6 million in 1998; during 1999 the company grew more than 80% to 1500 employees and revenues increased 160% to $160 million; and the company entered 2000 with a run rate at $200 million. Dozier also served on the boards of four of the company’s subsidiaries.
Prior experience included President and COO of 26-year old l telecommunications sales and service company. In this role he was credited with steering the company through challenging reorganization efforts while achieving 133% of the plan objectives, $108 million run rate, positive EBITDA and was significantly involved in the negotiations with lead banks, the investment community and major competitors that led to the sale of the company.
As a Regional President for a national telecommunications carrier, Dozier was responsible for operations in six states, 300 employees and 7000 customers. During his tenure EBITDA performance improved from a 15% loss to10.6% on revenue of $48 million; margins increased from 28% to 40%; revenue per employee increased by 45%; his region had the highest revenue per employee and productivity per sales rep company-wide; and Michael led the effort to successfully decertified the unions in 12 of 14 markets.
Chief Technical Officer and Chief Information Officer
While pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering Technology at DeVry Institute, Scott built a consulting company that specialized in network design and custom application development for robotics control systems. The firm served clients in Ohio, Michigan, Texas, Florida, New York and Oregon developing applications from simple robotics controls in Assembler to sophisticated production management systems in Pascal and C. The company was dissolved and the client contracts handed over to some of the independent contractors who worked with the firm.
In 1994, Scott joined a small growing telecommunications company as a networking engineer. He was responsible for installation, configuration and maintenance of a 2000 port PBX/ACD system and the company's LAN that, at the time, handled a 60-seat call center and the associated administrative offices. He also wrote custom call accounting and employee management software to streamline the company's operations. This company eventually grew to become Calltech Communications that is now made up of over 3200 employees in 7 call centers across 6 states.
In 2001, Scott left Calltech Communications to form the partnership that is now Altavox Telecom, Inc.
Vice President of Sales
14 years experience selling network services, IT and telecommunications services and building channels sales organizations for Eschelon Telecom (Integra), Qwest and his own organization. Tom sold his company to PRO OnCall Technologies, LLC where Tom was responsible as Director of Channels & GM of Denver.
Vice President of Customer Operations
23 year veteran in the telecommunications industry including 9 years with a leading voice and data switching distributor and software developer with a presence in 10 countries, and clients from EMEA, North America, and Asia. Key player in Russian / CIS technology industry where he served in several capacities including General Director. Other positions included channels sales development for a New York based VoIP provider and Covad Communications.
